After your initial contact with me, the next step that I will take is to arrange an informal “getting to know you” meeting with you and the child or children concerned. This enables us to get a chance to find out a little bit more about each other and to make sure that the children feel comfortable in my presence. If, after the meeting, you decide that I am not the right babysitter for your children, that is not a problem. An initial meeting carries no obligation to make a booking.

If you do decide to go ahead, the booking may be on a regular or one-off basis, subject to availability.

You may require a babysitter urgently, in which case there is no time for an initial meeting. In these circumstances, I will arrive an hour before you leave so that I have the chance to meet the children and you can ensure that they feel comfortable in my presence. This extra hour will be charged at the standard rate.

I would also ask before you leave for your evening out, that you complete a small information form so that I am made aware of any allergies or special instructions and so that I can be provided with emergency contact details should the need arise.

During babysitting I am happy to make light supper and put the children to bed. With my storytelling background, I am an expert at bed-time stories!
